ABOUT

Éire Guitar Duo is a dynamic classical guitar duo dedicated to expanding the classical guitar duo repertoire. Formed by Oscar Montague and Santiago Kodela after their studies at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, the duo is driven by a shared passion for contemporary and classical music.

Through innovative commissions, compelling recordings, and electrifying live performances, Éire Guitar Duo brings exciting new music to audiences across Ireland and beyond. Their journey includes sold-out concerts in Dublin (notably at Unit 44 before its closure), performances at the Ards International Guitar Festival, and tours across Kilkenny, Meath, Louth, and Kildare.

Their recent discography includes ICC Guitar Works, an EP of newly recorded pieces by Irish and Irish-based composers, with more works currently in progress. The duo is collaborating with six members of the Irish Composers’ Collective on newly commissioned pieces for future performances and a follow-up release: ICC Guitar Works Vol. 2.

Éire Guitar Duo continues to push the boundaries of the classical guitar tradition while honouring its rich history — championing fresh voices, reaching new audiences, and shaping the evolving landscape of the guitar duo repertoire.
