A Dance Between Lights and Shadows explores contrast and interplay through the lens of the classical guitar duo. Structured around the juxtaposition of idiomatic guitar techniques and sharply articulated rhythmic motifs, the piece explores registral interplay and dynamic contrast as its primary compositional devices. Metric ambiguity and motivic transformation contribute to the evolving dialogue between the guitars, evoking the thematic tension implied in the title.

Originally released as a single, it has now found its place within the ICC Guitar Works EP, performed by Éire Guitar Duo and mixed & mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Bob Katz. This work reflects our mission to expand the guitar duo repertoire through expressive, contemporary voices.
